Mulkey was under contracts with both the contractor and architect for this $22 million design-build project on the 225-acre Meredith College campus. This three-story, 105,000-square-foot, 252-bed student housing building features precast hollow core planks supported by load-bearing concrete masonry walls. The pitched roof is a timber truss system. Built in an environmentally-friendly manner, the project has a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification.
