UNC-Charlotte Campus Infrastructure Development
Charlotte, NC

The University of North Carolina at Charlotte has retained Mulkey to provide land surveying and all aspects of civil engineering, campus-wide. The University is in the process of expanding its infrastructure, with plans that include four academic buildings and a new utility plant. Long-term design emphasis is on the total future build-out of the campus.

Mulkey has completed design, survey and engineering services for the Rowe Arts Building, an open-air plaza to be used by art students as a design area for metal-works and sculptures. The firm has also provided design and land development plans for additional parking. In addition, Mulkey completed land development design and approval services for the proposed Physical Plant and Public Safety Complex, a 14-acre development that will house the university’s police force and facilities management services. Within the proposed complex plans, Mulkey has completed the first portion of a road extension that will accommodate future university expansion.
