Heritage Wake Forest is an award-winning golf course community developed by the Ammons Development Group. The 1065-acre site contains 850 single-family and townhome lots, a magnificent 18-hole golf course and clubhouse, a Swim and Tennis club, a 44-acre business and professional park, and Heritage Square, an 11-acre retail and commercial site.

Mulkey was involved in this project from the beginning, developing the initial master plan and then becoming the primary site/civil engineering firm on the project. Since its inception, Mulkey has provided on-going site development services including surveying, grading, drainage, erosion control, utilities and construction stakeout. The firm also provided drainage and erosion control design for the 18-hole golf course.

In 2002, North Carolina Magazine named The Heritage Best New Golf Course in the state.
