The new home of Progress Energy, a 19-story building and parking deck, encompasses an entire city block in downtown Raleigh. The landmark structure also contains space for offices, retail shops and residential condominiums.

Mulkey, Inc. provided schematic site design, land surveying, construction drawings, utility coordination and construction administration for this high-profile, yet challenging project.

The relatively small land area for the project required Mulkey’s expertise in rerouting and designing new utility lines and corridors. This fast-paced project also demanded strong communication and coordination skills in order to accommodate changes in building design, while keeping the project on schedule.

This dynamic addition to Raleigh’s skyline is a fine example of Mulkey’s ability to address the engineering challenges related to urban space development.
