Utility Design

From on-site management to superior client communications, Mulkey offers numerous services related to utility design. Staff members have extensive experience in utility construction projects, coordination of utility relocations, utility conflict resolution and contract administration in both the public and private sectors.

Since August 2001, Mulkey has had an open-end agreement with the North Carolina Department of Transportation to provide utility design plans, specifications, material estimates and permits for utilities that are in conflict with proposed highway construction projects. The firm also has an annual services agreement with Charlotte Mecklenburg Utilities to provide utility design, surveying and inspection services. This contract has been maintained since 1998 and has provided staff members with the opportunity to perform utility design on several large projects within their discipline.
