Roadway Design

With strong roadway design and management experience in all of our geographic locations, Mulkey is positioned to assist clients throughout the Southeast. Among our list of roadway clients are the North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida Departments of Transportation, The City of Raleigh, The City of Charlotte, North Carolina State University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In 2000, the firm received the Honors Award for Engineering Excellence in Transportation from the Consulting Engineers Council of North Carolina for its design of the I-77/Tyvola Road interchange. This busy interchange serves as the major access road to the Charlotte Coliseum and is a primary access road to Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
