This CEE advisory board includes community business leaders and engineers from area consulting firms and research groups that meet to connect the business community with UNC Charlotte CEE students, discuss suggestions and improvements for the department as well as share the education and training they seek in future UNC Charlotte CEE graduates. The group, which is led by professor and department chair David T. Young, Ph.D., P.E., will have its second meeting today.

“We are working to prepare these new engineering professionals through relevant coursework as well as enable them to successfully meet new challenges, such as those in the areas of sustainability and energy, when they join the growing engineering community in our region and beyond,” said Mulkey.
